Anyone who want to learn Chinese with online Chinese tutor,the first step, you should learn pinyin syllable ,some foreign student think this Chinese , but definitely not , the pinyin just help us learning Chinese character .
For foreign student ,the most difficult part is the tone of the pinyin, in Chinese we have four tones ,if u learn ths carefully ,the Chinese four tones like sing a song, it is doesn’t matter if you cant learn it well at the beginning , we can understand .

so ,in one word , without pinyin ,it is hard for us to learning Chinese, but pinyin is not everything .
In order to learn pinyin , first ,we should know the three parts of pinyin ,initials, finals, and tones . we can not study all of them in one time or only at the beginning , pinyin will accompany us for the whole trip for learning Chinese.
